How does DNS work?
Question:
How does Internet Explorer or E-mail know where to go when I have it a Domain Name.
More information:WARNING: Extra geeky content follows--
Every computer on the Internet has an IP number associated with it’s name. The number is what you really need to get to a computer. The number is what you need, but instead of making you remember the number (such as 204.134.233.190) you use the name and the network DNS (Domain Name Server) tells it the number. This way if you ever change your number the network gets told the new number and you just keep using the same name.
