Why did an e-mail get marked as "BULK" or "QUAR"?
Question:
You received an e-mail message and it was marked as spam but you want to know why... Or why is was not marked as spam.
More information:This may be a more complicated answer than you want to know but you will see in the below headers what "rules" were used.
While in Microsoft Outlook, open the message and click View and then choose Options. A box will popup and have all sorts of geeky header information.
Scroll down until you get to the information that looks like this diagram. Scores under 3.0 get delivered normally, 3.0 to 5.9 get marked bulk, 6.0 and higher get rejected. Viruses (if detected) will always be removed.
Remember if certain senders are always being marked bulk you can configure them to pass through. (See the other e-mail tips).
