You can check voice mail from home or other locations.

The check your voice mail from home, dial (313)535-4000. When it answers dial 9 and your four digit extension (dial it together as if it were a five digit number). It will then ask for your password and it’s just as if you were checking it from your desk. (You should have a password set or anyone can check your voice mail.)
