Pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL
Question:
Why do I have to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to log on?
More information:Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete before logging on guarantees that the authentic Windows 2000 logon prompt appears.
Requiring the use of Ctrl-Alt-Delete increases security and helps to thwart certain Trojan Horse (Virus) programs that behave like a system logon to retrieve usernames and password information that can later be used to break into the system.
