I cannot turn my computer off

Question:

If you are having problems shutting your computer off.

Try all of the following:

1) Try choosing Shut Down from the Start Menu.

2) Press Ctrl-Alt-Del and choose Shut Down.

3) Try pressing the power button on the front of the computer and hold it in for TEN seconds.

4) If none of the above work, unplug the computer from the wall (or remove the plug from the back of the computer). Wait 10 seconds before plugging back in.

If any of the above methods work, wait 10 seconds before trying to turn the computer back on. It may be running some tests when it comes back on and may take a longer amount of time to start up.

Whenever I have a problem like this, once I log back in I’ll restart once morebefore running any programs to make sure that it will shut down normally.
