CD-ROM Burner

Question:

Where can I borrow a CD-ROM burner?

More information:

Generally we have one in each media center hooked up to the network so that yuo can access files from the H: or S: drives.

One portable one is a available to be reserved from the Data Center. It does not work with your desktop computer, it’s designed to work with your laptop computer. If you’ve never used it before you may want to attend one of the training sessions first. People usually use this to backup their laptop or to get programs off their laptop that are larger than a floppy disk.

For reservations, please contact Kathy Snyder (x1022). Be sure to reserve it for the time you are going to actually have it (when you will pick it up and drop it off) not just for the times you need it. (The burner does not come with blank CDs)

As the price of CD Recorders are getting lower, the hope is that future computer purchases will have CD Recorders built into them.
